Back from Camp Norwood, grateful and recharged

By Brian Murphy

Do you remember those camping trips you took when you were a kid? Sleeping in tents, cold and uncomfortable, and maybe a little sad to be so far from home?

Camp Norwood was … not any of that. Except for far from home (at least for those of us who live in Massachusetts).

Our internal staff spent Nov. 6-8 at Balcones Springs Retreat in Marble Falls, TX for our annual company retreat. It was a blast.

At Camp Norwood we weren’t exactly roughing it, though we played rough. In fact, it felt like we spent at least half the trip trying to knock one another off—in the best possible way. We played games of “assassin” and archery tag, and shot each other with plastic pellet guns—all in good fun, and the name of team building. We also had a challenging scavenger hunt that included slaying a dragon.

At night we enjoyed dinner, bonfires and music, and recognized a handful of team members with the Waymark Awards—wooden hand-crafted tokens to honor employees who best exemplify our company values.

Norwood is 100% remote and Camp Norwood is our once-annual opportunity to get together in person for team building. The goal is relaxation, celebration of company successes, and promoting unity.

Camp Norwood makes our internal bonds stronger—so that we can serve you better.
